Pull Through Darryl Tait

A little Article I Wrote...

D-Rail.... For some of you the name is already famous, for others you may have never heard of him. Darryl Tait is truly an amazing guy. At a young age of only 19, he has already done so much in his life. Whether it be winning medals and shredding jumps or stomping rails and spinning tricks, Darryl has always been there for his friends, his family, or even a stranger.  If he could help out, he would be there!  He truly is a remarkable person, and that's so much more then just an opinion.

Now, I have Known Darryl going on almost ten years and he has been so much more than a friend could have ever asked for.  He has always been there for me or my friends, even my family. So I'd like to share with you, A Little Story About My Hero.

Darryl Keith Tait was born on December 13, 1989.  He was raised by his parents, Jamie and Barb Tait, who I know are ever so very proud of him.  Darryl grew up in the northern town of Atlin, BC.  At a young age, Darryl was already gifted, either having a good time skateboarding, or racing hard in motocross. If he wasn't doing that he was simply loving his friends and family, and living life to its fullest.  Now, I remember when Darryl had first moved here in grade 5 to my home town Yellowknife, NT.  He had just moved here with his parents and from the moment me and my friends first met him we knew he had some crazy talents.  However, even to this day, I could not have predicted how big this guy really was.

Darryl always excelled in sports or compositions, but what more could you expect when he always gave it his all at life!  As we grew up, we went to school and hung out and slowly grew bigger, well may be not me, but Darryl`s talents sure did and boy did he get good.  From snowboarding on the Arctic Winter Games Team to competing in the Canada Games, or even just racing his sled, Darryl was just an all around athlete, a real people person.

Now, I could sit here all day and tell you how amazing he is or how he changed my life when I was younger...literally, and could most likely do the same to your's, but the truth is for those of you who know or have yet to find out, Darryl had a bad crash after missing a bit of rotation on a backflip a couple days ago while doing a show with the Rave X Crew.  The rear bumper of his sled had hit him in the back, and Darryl had to be air lifted to the Massachusetts General Hospital.

Blake Wildfong, Cory Davis  Dane Ferguson and Brittni Waddington are starting a non-profit group fundraiser for the family based out of Whitehorse.

Here is a link if you are interested in making a contribution; any amount would be very much appreciated.  Darryl needs all our prayers and help he can get.
